Magazine conversion - RimfireCentral.com Forums

Magazine conversion - RimfireCentral.com Forums: "Chief Says , First you must have a gun capable of firing any rimfire round with just a barrel and magazine change. One needs a setup that doesnt require a complette disassembly of the weapon.
My conversion trigger assembly allows for the larger magnum magazine and also allows you to shoot the magnum (17HMR) and others with the same receiver. Alterations to the receiver only require two small cuts to get the mag to fit. Once you get the action , trigger, ect you need a way to swiftly change barrels. I choose the BC backpacker stock as it always secures the barrel perfect. I testted this stock ( system) and acrually tried to wear it out. It held up to alot of punishment and still works flawlessly.
The double chambered barrel was just one of my ideas , allowing the shooter to carry one barrel and have choice of 22 magnum anfd 22 LR .
The initial plan was to have each caliber barrel setup with a cantilever mount and each having its own scope. Thus no need to re-zero upon changing cal."
