i've got a 96/22mag[num] that i use for all 4 rimfire cals..
i had a rfc member machine me a hex nut for the mag that was an extra .375" longer than stock.... it held the mag forward just fine, but allow the mag to move against the mag latch just a touch too much when the empty brass hit the ejector on the feed lips....
so, i made a removable block that fits on the rear of the mag and keeps it from moving rearward against the mag latch spring.... i just used a piece of .375" phenolic... i drilled it for the "tit" on the rear of the mag, and epoxied a section of brass rod in the other face to match the mag latch.... i posted a pic of it around here somewhere....i think it was in a thread re: lightend hammers...i slip the block on the rear of the mag as i insert it...it's workin just fine
