AAC FiveSeven, 5.72mm Supressor - Centerfire Pistols by Big Sky Guns LLC: "For the FN Five-seveN 5.7mm pistol.
Designed to be compact, lightweight, and durable, the FIVESEVEN silencer is designed for extreme duty use. The simple thread mounting system provides quick and easy attachment. Compact by design, the FIVESEVEN does not hinder sight recognition or CQC maneuverability. Durability is achieved by CNC automated fusion welding every stainless steel component used in its construction - making full-time suppression a reality. The elimination of approximately 95% of the muzzle report nullifies the need for ear protection, preserves field communications, and masks the location of the shooter."

Mounting a scope on the PS 90 for +-$25.00 - FN FiveseveN Forum
Mounting a scope on the PS 90 for +-$25.00 - FN FiveseveN Forum
Posted by schmidtbender:
I don't think much of the as issued sight. In fact it is clearer with my glasses off than on. I got to thinking about putting a real scope on it and like a true shadetree gunsmith, I "figgered it out".
You need:
1. A 1"x1"x1" piece of square steel "tube" about 1.3" long
2. Two metric allen set screws that fit the existing holes in the side of the sight housing. Take along one of the sight mounting screws as it's the same thread. (I bought four and used the other two to plug the other two holes in the wings).
4. A piece of tip off mount adapter rail from Brownells (see picture).
5. A scope with a tip off mount. You can get the rings in 3/4", 7/8" and 1" for sure on ebay or from Brownells. This is NOT a Weaver crosslock ring set, it is the kind designed for 22s with grooved receivers.
6. Drills, taps and a belt sander
one: remove the existing sight and put the front screw back in (so you don't lose it).
two: Measure the distance between the sight guard ears.(See pics) It was a RCH less than 1" on mine, hence the belt sander.
three: Get it to where it is a press and tap tap fit between the ears.
three: Level it with the flat where the rear OEM sight screw hole is.
four: Drill a 1/8" hole from each side thru the existing tapped hole in the sight wings. Do not drill thru the steel tube, it's just to locate the set screw.
five: Put in the two allen set screws and tighten a bit. This is not a 416 Rigby so be gentle.
six: Cut the Brownell rail to the length you want, drill & countersink a hole for the original rear sight mounting screw in the original hole.
seven: Install the rail with the rear screw and center it on the 1" tube piece. I used a caliper to measure the gap between the rail and the sides of the wings.
eight: Tighten down the rear screw making sure the rail does not move.
nine: Drill a countersink in the rail for whatever screw you use to secure it to the 1" tube. I used an 8-40 scope mount torx. Drill thru the rail with a clearance drill enough to spot the tube.
ten: Remove the rail and D&T the tube.
eleven: cleanup and degrease, mount the rail with blue locktite.
twelve. mount the scope.
My rig has a Leupold Alaskan 6X which is a 7/8" tube scope.
The cheek weld is much better that the OEM sight and I'm just a normal guy that can pick up almost any off the shelf rig and it fits.
To the range tomorrow. I may need to shim the front or rear base a bit for elevation but at least I'll be able to see that target.

Question on Tracer Round OAL - FN FiveseveN Forum
Question on Tracer Round OAL - FN FiveseveN Forum: "Keep it closer to 1.575-1.580. The ogive on military bullets vary dramatically and with some, on a longer OAL, may contact the lands/grooves spiking pressure. Also, the old white capped tracers are very unreliable. Only about 40% will light. If you can get the copper base tracers, you will experience 100% function. If you can't find any, drop me a PM or email and I'll get you some from my suppliers (at my cost). -Ryan P.S. I much prefer TrueBlue over HS6. It meters better and has a more even pressure curve. -RH"

FN Forum.NET :: View topic - FNH Q&A - November 30, 2007 - (ANSWERED)
1. When will we get more variations of factory 5.7x28mm ammo (besides 195 and 197)? There will be a new round called SS198 but it will be a LE restricted round. The 195 and 197 go forward for now.
2. Will official (CIP, SAAMI, FN internal) cartridge dimensions and other specifications eventually be included in the FNH USA website content for the 5.7x28mm? Not at this time.
3. There have been a handful of reports of PS90 barrels supposedly damaged from the higher pressures of the 195 round. Did extending the barrel on the PS90 to 16 inches have any unanticipated consequences over the original P90 design? Not true. If that was true the shorter P-90 barrel would have problems. I have seen P-90 barrels with 35,000+ rounds through them. The SS195 is not full pressure.
4. The PS90 manual states that the moving parts group should be oiled at the guide rods, ejector, extractor and "holes of the breech block". Which holes are they referring to? The side holes are the right hole that goes to the guide rod and the other side which houses the cyclical reducer or tungsten weight.
5. The PS90 Owners Manual states that the PS90 has an internal safety sear to prevent accidental firing if the gun is dropped. Since the this forward safety sear has been removed from the hammer group, has FNH done extensive tests to ensure there is no chance of an out of battery detonation? It is a gravity activated sear which activates when the gun is dropped on the muzzle. I am sure the fire control was tested and qualified before production started as on all FNH firearms.
6. Has the FNP 45 release date been pushed back? We should see .45's any time. There was a slight hitch in getting the extractors done.
7. Will the USG FNPs be available in both 9mm and .40 S&W? And will they be available with night sights? Both are available now. No plans for night sight versions.
8. Photos of the FNP45 show a lanyard loop. Will this be on the production pistol, and will it end up on the 9mm's and 40's as well? It will only be on the USG version. The loop will exist on all but only the USG will come with a split ring.
9. When is the FNP-357 Sig going to be available for purchase? Will they be released in dark earth color? 1st quarter 2008. They will not be available in dark earth at this time.
10. Will the FNP 357 be available in DA/SA with a decocker only?Yes, only DA/SA at this time.
Thanks for the questions!

Tinkering with the Ruger 96 - Jesse's Hunting & Outdoors (JHO): "Tinkering with the Ruger 96 Andy Moe - JHO ProStaff - Montana July 28, 2006 I'm a fan of the Ruger 96 lever actions. A lot of people don’t even know what they are but I like them. They appeal to my taste for the eccentric. Looking like a mongrel cross between a Ruger 10/22, a Savage Model 99, and the old Winchester Model 88 centerfire, this rifle is not just another pretty face. "

Thanks to Herstal, MO, and all the rest. - FN FiveseveN Forum
I would like to Thank everyone that has contributed to the Reloading section. Yesterday I chronographed my first reloads.
Thanks to:
Hestal for a great shell plate for my dillon. My only problem was the powder measure. I have an older 550 and the original powder measur would not fully actuate with the small 5.7x28 case. Luckily I had purchased a second powder measure to have one for pistol and one for rifle. The new one worked just fine.
MO for sharing his wealth of experience with reloading.
Charlie Foster for sharing his reloading data.
I was looking for a sub sonic load. I loaded a Win 55gr fmj, WSR primer, 3.0 grs HS6, once fired brass, COL 1.58.
Avg - 1036.8, HI - 1072.2, Low - 992.6, SD - 19.5
I also tried some 40gr Vmax, with 7.4 grs of AA#7.
Avg - 2227.8, HI - 2266.2, Low - 2195.9, SD - 19.2
I had accidently picked up the moly coated Vmax bullets. Would that explain why the velocity at 7.4 grs exceeded the powder mfg specs for a 40 gr bullet, that had a max of 7.7 grs 2044 fps?

Sidearmor: Kydex® Holsters, Shotgun Equipment, Rifle Equipment and firearms accessories
Sidearmor: Kydex® Holsters, Shotgun Equipment, Rifle Equipment and firearms accessories: "Using the same CAD design tools and CNC machining technology we use for our weapon mounts, Sidearmor has created the worlds' premier holsters. Each holster is formed from Kydex® 100 sheet, which features a high impact resistance and UV stable for the most demanding applications. It is also impervious to chemicals and will maintain its performance under harsh circumstances. Sidearmor holsters are formed using custom CNC cut tooling. Each model holster has it's own mold and it's own custom features. All our holsters feature a unique retention system we call the Isometric Tensioner. This ingenious device uses a combination of spring-load and an o-ring to provide opposing force and two aluminum pieces to spread the load out for a silky smooth draw and unparalleled adjustment and retention capabilities. The spring will not take a set like rubber bushings and the CNC construction and Military compliant (Mil-A-8625) Type III hard-anodized finish of the aluminum components will not wear out or deteriorate. Our Modular Outside The Waistband (OWB) holsters feature an innovative attachment system that can be custom tailored to your needs. A replaceable attachment system means varying options for varying circumstances. The detachable chassis system allows 60° of adjustment muzzle forward or muzzle rearward. It can be worn strong side or cross draw and with optional attachments, can be mounted to any surface. "

Our Modular Outside The Waistband (OWB) holsters feature an innovative attachment system that can be custom tailored to your needs. A replaceable attachment system means varying options for varying circumstances. The belt slide system allows 45° of adjustment muzzle forward or muzzle rearward. It can be worn small-of-the back, strong side or cross draw. "

Gemtech's SFN-57 Test Spin [Archive] - FN FiveseveN Forum
Gemtech's SFN-57 Test Spin [Archive] - FN FiveseveN Forum: "I recently had the opportunity to hook up with Doc Dater and Kelly from Gemtech at a small MG Match and they happended to have the SFN-57 attached to a Tactical 5.7 Pistol. They said I could take it for a spin but they didn't have any ammo with them...... Lucky me. I'm still waiting for my Jarvis Barrel to be shipped.... sigh. I loaded up a 30 rounder with some S-190, S-192, S-195, S-196 and S-197 ammo to feel and hear if there were any notable difference in ammo with the suppressor. All of the rounds did have a noticible sonic crack but you could really tell the difference with the can and without..... I couldn't tell any difference in the crack between any of the rounds that I fired. The overall length of the suppressor was 5.8' The diameter was 1.25 inches and didn't interfere or block the Tactical sights. The weight was only 5.2 ounces and didn't make the pistol front end heavy. The suppressors have a M10x1 Thread. I definately need to get my hands on some S-193 Subsonic ammo and will be ordering one of these cans as soon as my barrel is shipped. Agent"

ColtCCO » I am a Splinter Cell.
ColtCCO » I am a Splinter Cell.: "Ok, I knew a Gemtech SFN-57 can weighs nothing. The FiveseveN weighs nothing, either. Just today I found out that, when both items are assembled together , they still weigh only slightly more than nothing, and even then, not by a lot. It’s just so handy. They already have about the recoil of a .22lr pistol, and the suppressor is only going to help attenuate that further. This setup belongs to a lucky customer of mine, and when we threaded the can on for the first time, I just couldn’t help but grab my then-working camera and snap a few shots. I wish I’d remembered to grab a scale too, but the whole package weighs under 2lbs, loaded with 21 rds. Now I really want to go play Splinter Cell - oh, wait, no, I can’t. My Xbox 360 is en route to Tejas for repair. That’s a post for another time, when I bitch about not be able to bypass any of the English script the tech support guy in India read to me about rebooting. Rrgh. Between my busted camera, busted Xbox, and busted PC case fan, I’m not gonna be too surprised if I mosey downstairs tomorrow morning and find that my microwave has spontaneously dissasembled on my countertop. FA556AR (M4FA) Suppressor - FA556AR available from SureFire
The FA556AR has an over-the-barrel design similar to the Finnish "reflex" design. This might be a cool option for a non-SBR PS90 since it would only add four inches to the OAL.

Disassemble PS90 Stock - FN FiveseveN Forum

Disassemble PS90 Stock - FN FiveseveN Forum:
Its VERY easy. Pull the mag, pull the upper receiver, pull the bolt out next, pull the rear buttpad off, then pull the trigger pack out.
Now unscrew the two halves of the body.
Pull out everything else!
Thats it!
My gun stayed together after the two halves were seperated. So you can see where everything goes. The only parts to be careful, of are the 2 tiny springs under the safety/fire switch. It has the typical springs that will fly out into your shag carpet (no matter where you are in the room). The springs have tiny "click" wedges on either end. This is the only thing you have to watch for.
Everything else is easy! The mag release is one piece with a fat spring behind it (it will also be the last thing you install). You will just slide it backwards into place after reassembly, untill it snaps in.
The ejection door cover in the "ejection port" is mostly one piece, and stays together well. It also reassembles EASY, depress the two spring sides and slide it up the port. It snaps into place. You dont even need to worry about re-setting the spring. it resets itself when you re-install the cover. Thats about it for pieces.
The trigger is attached to a bar. The dis-assembly is almost self explanitory.
I took the nuts out of the stock as well, just because.
The only "difficult" part is re-installing the safety/fire switch. You have to depress the two springs together with the "wedge" pieces on them, and slide them under the switch. The hard part comes from the "wedge" pieces rotating around while trying to stick them under there.
Dont be afraid, my seven year old re-assembled most of mine, with me verbialy guiding her.

FN Forum.NET :: View topic - Barely used PS90 with LOTS of stuff.: "Ok here goes guys. I have a PS90 that I have to get rid of for another purchase. Its a PS90 Tri-Rail with about 500 rounds through it. It comes with 6 50 round mags, one ten rounder, a blackhawk sling, brass catcher, two cases. One is a pelican 1493 laptop case, and the other is a bulldog fitted PS90 case. Also I have 3000 rounds of ammo. Its a mix between ss197 and 195. Also has your choice of an optic. Eotech 512 or the Trijicon Reflex. Im tryin to get rid of all of this for 3200. Also I will make you a helluva deal on an Insight technologies M6X light laser combo for it if you would like it also. Price on that is 250 dollars and it hasnt even been mounted. Whole package 3400 or I will sell the light/laser separate. Thanks. If interested please send email to lawless101aa@hotmail.com Im not really active on here but I am over on Silencertalk. Someone over there could vouch for me. Great site guys. "

Airsoft - FN FiveseveN Forum
Airsoft - FN FiveseveN Forum: "They are here in the US. This is a wholesale company that deals with Dealers. They are out of San Francisco. I am a dealer with them, but since some of you here may want to get set up with them, I wont post Dealer price on them. Airsoft is an excellent way to train. I am sure members here have already made mention of its value. You would be amazed by the level of its accuracy. You can easily get a propane adapter, and then use the Coleman small cans to refill $3-$4 per bottle. Just make sure to put a drop of silicone oil on top of the mag inlet valve. Propane and green gas are one in the same. Difference is, Green gas has a silicone additive. My last suggestion is to get the 6mm one. The 8mm altho makes larger holes, may have less capacity. The 6mm has a 18rd capacity. Additionally, I dont believe you can get 8mm bbs in black. 6mm bbs do come in black. Why black? So that it forces you to use the sights. With white bbs, its too easy to follow the path of the bb to correct aim. Remember, velocities are like 300 fps. Since you can not see the black bbs being fired, you must use the sights. I have been involved with Airsoft for quite some time. I am very proud to have a nationally ranked IPSC shooter who I sponsor, and only uses Airsoft to do about 90% of his practice. His name is Brad Holt. Not trying to float my boat, just hopefully lending more credibility to the use of Airsoft."

FS: New PS90 Bolt Assembly - $150 - FN FiveseveN Forum: "Geez, there appears to be a lot of PS90 parts available right now! It's time to add to the mix, I suppose. I recently purchased a PS90 to have an extra stock and receiver I'm saving for a wicked duracoat treatment. I've currently got the trigger pack up for auction, but I figured I'd just save some time and list the bolt assembly here. $150 + $10 shipping (via USPS Priority) takes it. E-mail me at callmemrt@gmail.com or PM me to take it. I'm sure you all know what one looks like; but if you'd like some photos, let me know. Best regards, Mr. T Statesboro, Georgia"

Q1:Would you please "speak" to the challenges involved in bringing "new" foreign-developed and foreign-produced firearms to the US commercial market. (eg. Five-seveN, PS90, FS2000)
A:
Q2:Are the White Ring Sights being discontinued? If so .. when?
A:All PS-90's should have the black reticle now.
Q3:What future weapons platforms do you have planned for the 5.7 round?
A: 5.7 Boltgun based on a ultra short Model 70 action--April 2008
Q4:Will we ever be able to buy replacement parts for our FS2000's and PS90's?
A:Yes, hopefully by the end of the year.
Q5:When will the FNP 45 be available? Shooters Pack included?
A: FNP 45 should be out November 2007 There will be a Shooters Pack available.
Q6:Any plans to implement .22lr or multi-caliber conversions into the PS90 or FS2000 designs?
A:No.
Q7:Are there plans to expand production capabilities inside the US?
A:What is made in Belgium will continue to be made in Belgium.
Q8:Besides the SCAR, will FN consider making a civilian semi-auto only variant for any other military firearm they currently produce?
A:Not at this time. We talked about semi M249's but it would be too hard to change it to a hammer driven trigger.
Q9:Was FN surprised by the demand for the PS90?
A:Yes!
Q10:Is FNH actually going to answer these questions?

A living trust generally does not account for the following: - Receipt of NFA items - Liability of successor trustee - Liability of Beneficiaries - Under age beneficiaries - Mental state of beneficiaries - Distribution of assets upon the death of the Grantor (creator) With substantial civil and criminal penalties for improper transfers of NFA restricted weapons, it is very important to give your family and heirs good instructions and the ability to make sure that transfers are done properly.
