FN FiveseveN Forums - Magazine pouches

Posted by MadDogL
FN FiveseveN Forums - Magazine pouches: "The dimensions of the 5.7 mag and the Desert Eagle 50AE mags are exactly the same (and I mean exactly) so any mag pouch made of leather for the DE should work. Kydex material is another story. I think Kydex mag pouches need to be molded around an actual 5.7 mag or it's not going to work as well as it should. Leather is a little forgiving where as Kydel molds around every imperfection in the magazine needed for that 'snap fit'."

Delfatti's FsN holster and mag pouches in shark (gorgeous!)

FN FiveseveN Forums - Magazine pouches

A great tip from MadDog:

FN FiveseveN Forums - Magazine pouches: "I use a single leather mag pouch made for the 50AE Desert Eagle. It fits perfectly. The DE and 5.7 mags have the exact same dimensions."

Bulle P90 Magazine Pouch, Black

Bulle P90 Magazine Pouch, Black: "Our own production, especially designed to carry two P90 magazines per pouch in a convenient, low-profile format. The pouch is so designed to allow for the quick withdrawal of single magazines one at a time, by containing a single magazine in each of the two pockets. Pouches open quickly and quietly with genuine issue Spanish fly-type openers, eliminating the slow and clumsy operation associated with fastex buckles and the loudness of velcro closers. Pouches are designed to eliminate possibility of loss of magazines by enclosing over two thirds of the length of the magazine. Magazine pouch has a semi-rigid backing to help keep the pouch in shape for better stability without adding much to the overall weight of the pouch and each pocket has a rivetted drainage hole at the bottom for good ventilation. Pouches are designed to be able to be worn straight onto a belt, as well as clipped to the belt with the aid of webbing adapter plates or Alice clips. Each pouch is made in Germany to the highest standards using only genuine military cordura which is internally waterproofed and coated with an IRR resistant compound. "

P90 Magazine Holders

just wondering what pouches do you carry your real p90 mags in?

You can buy cheapies at the surplus store, they are made for the bipod of the M16, so they are mil-spec, etc.

Or, you can spend lots more and get them from Blackhawk.

Personally, I like having a seamstress sew pouches and pockets into my tactical uniforms. That way if I have to unload my equipment vest or something, I've got some basics on me: flashlight (P6), leatherman tool, one spare mag, USAF military pilot water bottle.
