For either barrel machining is always the same- $225
For a Green mountain barrel blank $100
Green mountain barrels are full bull and not lapped but tend to shoot very well.
Mcgowan Barrel $185
These are lapped, tend to be a bit tighter, & shoot very well for the price point. I can also get these in most profiles, I have a full bull same profile as the chamber area in stock in 14 twist.
These are stub barrels and you do have to sacrifice a barrel to create it.
The only reason I suggested the Hornet (Regular or K-Hornet) was in either form the balistics are better, dies and brass more plentiful and lots of help available from others allready shooting it. Most gunstores have ammo on the shelf. And its a reamer I allready own.
My notes (and other findings) related to the FN 5.7x28mm Weapon System (Ammunition, Five-seveN pistol, P90 PDW, PS90 carbine, CMMG Banshee Mk57, SCHV weapons in general, conversion of other weapons, accessories, reloading, etc.)
